Tiny houses project
About the project
The project is about examining tiny houses and eventually make sample models, a design and a pinboard. We first did research on tiny houses on our own. Than we did some tutorials about sketchup, the programme we used to make the 3D design. We made samle models from paper to experiments with shape and size. Than we made an American projection sheet of our tiny house, two separate ones for the interior and the exterior. Than, using the previously made things, we made a final design in Sketchup. The last part was to put everything together in a pinboard, however we are not finished with that yet, but it will be on the website soon.

Individual assignment
We started individually, we did some research on tiny houses and we decided our client group. We made a collage with five pictures that we liked of tiny house designs, one for the exterior and one for the interior.

Paper sample models
In order to visualise some of the ideas, we made paper models of three different options for the tiny house to be able to see what would work well and what wouldn't.
|
American projection sheets
After we chose a rough design we made an American projection sheet of the interior and the exterior design. In it we have the design for the different sides of the house on scale. In the interior design we also tried to furnish the house best as possible.

Sketchup Design
Using everything we have done before, we make a design for the tiny house in Sketchup. Everything on scale, with interior and exterior. This is the most detailed of all the parts and shows every part of the tiny house up to centimeters. In order to master the programme, we did three tutorials first. For the interior, we could download furniture from the 3D warehouse, an online place where you can publish and download designs, from Sketchup itself. I liked this part of the project the most, and I am very happy with the end-design
